Dear Families~
What a busy year it has been. It is hard to believe that it is December already. We have been very busy in Title 1 and are starting to think about our second round of assessing in January. Just a reminder that if you ever have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. I would love to go over how your child is doing and ways that we could work together!!

In the Thick of It!!

The first couple of weeks have gone very well in Title 1. We are back at it. We have started our fall assessing and I am excited to see the outcomes!! It's hard to believe that September is almost done! Where has the time gone?! After assessing, we will begin working with students that need some extra reading support. If your child were to need some extra help in reading, you would receive a letter from me stating that. Feel free to contact me at anytime about what we would be doing in my classroom to support your child's reading.

Welcome Back!!

Parents and Students~
Welcome back to the 2012/2013 school year! We are so excited to get back to work here in Title 1!
We will be seeing some familiar faces to start the year and then after our testing cycle, we will start a schedule based off of our newest data. I just want to start the year by reminding you that anytime you have questions about your child and Title 1, please do not hesitate to contact me! Looking forward to another great year here at McBain Elementary!!

I can't believe the end of the year is so close. We are beginning to wrap up our year here in Title 1. Summer break will soon be here, but please remember that summer slide happens. I strongly encourage you to keep your child reading throughout the summer!! Those of you that ordered Summer Bridge books will have them soon!

Assessing Time

We are right in the middle of assessing time here in Title 1. You will be seeing the results come home with your child at the end of the year. If you ever have questions about your child's progress, please do not hesitate to contact me!!

It's hard to believe that April is almost done. We are busy as always here in Title 1. This week I was able to progress monitor all students on their reading. I was very pleased with the results. May will begin an assessing month again, so we are busy preparing for that!! Have a great week!

It's hard to believe Spring Break is almost here. This means another 6 weeks of teaching is done and gone. As report cards come home, if you have any questions regarding your child's reading, please do not hesitate to ask!! Have a great week and a wonderful Spring Break!!

Last week I was allowed to attend the MACUL technology conference and I am so excited about everything I learned!! I can't wait to keep implementing technology into Title 1. I hope conferences went well and always keep in mind that I am available to meet with parents any time to discuss student's progress.

As we begin the month of February, Title 1 has used the data from all of our assessments and we are servicing some new students while maintaining service with many of the students that we were already seeing. All of the assessing is complete for the middle of the year and available for parents to see. Please do not hesitate to ask about how your child did!!

Greetings from Title 1!!
We are right in the middle of our mid-year assessing. Almost all the math data has been collected and returned to your child's teacher. This week we begin the DIBELs testing for reading. Next week, we finish up with Delta math assessing. Please look for assessment information to be coming home soon! Have a great week!
